Quarter 3 starts in less than a week, which means Citi® Dividend Platinum Select® Visa® Card members can soon begin earning 5 percent cash back on new bonus categories just announced.
Beginning July 1st and extending through September 30th, 2013, Citi® Dividend Platinum Select® Visa® Card members can earn 5% cash back on eligible purchases within the Hilton WorldwideTM portfolio of brands, car rental agencies, movie theaters and theme parks from 7/1/13 to 9/30/13, upon enrollment. That's great news for cardholders planning on a summer vacation, be it with friends, family or both.
First, there's the opportunity to earn bonus cash back on reservations made under the Hilton portfolio. Cardholders can stay in luxury for a little less, and Citi will even reward you on the ride to your Hilton hotel with another 5 percent cash back on rental cars.
Of course, theme parks are another staple of summer family fun. Since the average cost of a theme park admission ticket is pretty steep - especially when you take into account the whole family - any savings there is more than welcome. And finally, members who enroll are eligible to earn bonus cash back on movie theaters. I can think of a lot movies I'd love to see but haven't made it out to yet, and a bonus 5 percent savings adds another incentive to hit the theater on a rainy summer afternoon.
It's important for cardholders to remember that cash back earned is limited to 300 Dividend Dollars per year. However, that's on par with competing bonus cash back back cards that cap bonus cash back earnings by the quarter, and even gives Citi® Dividend Platinum Select® Visa® cardholders the opportunity to earn potentially more cash back in the bonus categories that best suit them throughout the year.
