Quarter 1 ended less than a month ago, but Discover has already announced plans to reveal their upcoming cash back categories for Quarter 3. The announcement will come May 1st, which is plenty of time for consumers in the market for a new cash back card to apply for, receive and enroll in 5 percent cash back opportunities by the time Q3 starts on July 1st.
Currently, Discover it cardholders can earn 5 percent cash back on up to $1,500 in purchases made on home improvement in Quarter 2. According to their website's bonus cashback calendar, Q3 categories are titled "Summer Fun" and there's a picture of a fuel pump nozzle, so consumers can make of that what they will.
Enrollment begins June 1st for cardholders; in the meantime, we'll keep you posted on categories once we get the official word May 1st.
