One of our favorite airline miles cards recently updates its offer, so we thought we would pass along the updates to our (beloved!) readers.

The Premier Miles & More World MasterCard® from Barclaycard is now offering up to 35,000 bonus miles for new customers in the introductory period. New members net an easy 20,000 bonus miles just for making their first purchase. After that, they can earn up to an additional 15,000 bonus miles simply by making a balance transfer within the first 30 days of account opening. "Up to" is actually pretty important here because a reading of the Premier Miles & More World MasterCard's fine print tell us that cardholders will receive one mile for every $1 transferred to this card within the first 30 days, up to 15,000 award miles.

Some of the closer readers out there may notice that this bonus mile offer is actually lower than their previous offer of 50,000 bonus miles, and you would be correct. HOWEVER, the 35K bonus miles offer is likely to net more cardholders more miles because of the new requirements set forth to receive them. 

The old offer included the same 20,000 bonus points after your first purchase. However, in order to receive the additional 30,000 bonus miles, members had to spend $5,000 or more in the first 90 days. That's a pretty steep threshold to hit, and probably left quite a few cardholders short of the total available bonus miles that were being offered. 

While this new offer won't get you to 50,000, it's much more likely to get a lot of cardholders a decent amount of additional airline miles, especially since the balance transfer offer from the Premier Miles & More World MasterCard is pretty enticing. New cardholders pay no interest for 12 months on new purchases or balance transfers. This is one of the few airline miles cards that includes both zero interest balance transfers AND purchases in the introductory period, and that they're giving new members even more of an incentive to transfer a balance (again, in the form of additional bonus miles) makes this one of the best balance transfer cards on the market right now.

So, while the new offer may technically be for less miles, we can see far more cardholders able to earn additional bonus miles beyond that first 20k with this new offer from the Premier Miles & More World MasterCard.
